2009/01/17 TROOP 108 SWEEPS KLONDIKE!

Troop 108 captured First Place in both the New Scout and Open divisions of the 2009 Black Bear District Klondike Derby! With below-zero temperatures, this was one of the harshest Derby environments in recent years.

And Pack 108 placed second in the Webelos scout division!

The New Scout sled was manned by Matt, Wyatt, Connor, CJ, Billy, Colin, and Ronnie. The Open division sled was driven by Stephen, Andrew K, Ryan, and Brian. Members of both sleds were tested on scouting knowledge and skills in First Aid, Orienteering, Fire Starting, Wilderness Survival, Team Building, and more. With about 30 sleds entered in the competition, this is a significant accomplishment!

Troop 108 also won the Open Division of the Klondike Derby back in 2006.
